Painting in Public

A favorite place for breakfast! I was juried into the “Frank Bette Center for the Arts paint-out” in 2014. We were supposed to paint scenes in Alameda. I decided to set my easel in front of this landmark diner on historic Park street.
Painting in public makes for memorable quotes from people walking by,. Once a ten-year-old boy with a very concerned look on his face, asked me: ”Are you going to do this for the rest of your life?”
The store chose to buy this painting and commissioned another one for their newly opened restaurant: “Wine and Waffles” as well.
